Midday AI-Lab Series Part I: AI that fits your everyday Work and Needs

In this WDS hands-on autumn workshop you will learn how to choose the appropriate level of AI that best fits your day-to-day task or requirement. As Generative AI becomes easier to access, it is becoming equally easy to overcomplicate our solutions.

Whether you need a simple prompt, a reusable AI setup, an AI-enabled workflow, or a more agentic approach also depends on the nature of your task. Marianthi Polydorou, Basel-based senior digital transformation professional with a current focus on practical AI adoption and delivery, will walk you through a realistic knowledge-work example to compare how different AI approaches support the same need.

Together, we will examine the value, and the additional complexity, each approach introduces, helping you make more deliberate, balanced choices about where AI genuinely adds value.

You will learn:

1) How to assess which level of AI fits the demands of your task

2) A practical way to compare AI approaches while considering the value and complexity each introduces Prerequisites: Bring your laptop and a ChatGPT account. No coding experience required. Note: Places are limited to keep the session interactive. Registration is required through WDS Basel. The AI labs complement each other but can be attended independently.

Facilitator: Marianthi Polydorou is a Basel-based senior digital transformation professional with a current focus on practical AI adoption and delivery. She brings more than 15 years of experience in digital transformation, B2B product management and cross-functional delivery across Switzerland and international markets, including roles at Sunrise and Vodafone. Her recent applied work spans AI use-case identification and prioritisation, GenAI prototyping and AI enablement. Her approach combines business-led thinking, hands-on experimentation and a strong background in turning strategy into structured delivery.
