Maria Teresa Salerno, Head of IT CRM, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing, Tecan

Maria Teresa's passion for innovation has fueled an impressive career journey. She honed her marketing skills, then spent the past decade building expertise in e-commerce across diverse industries.

Maria Teresa started in the world of B2C luxury retail at Swarovski, focusing on campaign planning and delivery and platform enhancements. Her drive to push boundaries led her to the B2B life sciences sector. There, she now thrives as a leader, defying convention and bringing a unique perspective to the traditionally male-dominated IT field. Her experience navigating e-commerce in both B2C luxury and B2B life sciences, while adapting strategies across such different industries, provides her with invaluable insights on digital transformation.

Beyond her professional pursuits, she loves camping and listen to music!

Stefanie De Roquancourt, E-commerce Commercial Lead, Tecan

Stefanie brings over 13 years of omnichannel marketing and CRM expertise to the table, having thrived in dynamic industries like airlines, luxury retail, and now life sciences. Her journey began at Air France KLM, where she acquired her skills in marketing, customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs. This experience proved invaluable as she moved to Swarovski and developed the growth of their loyalty program across the Asia-Pacific region. During the pandemic lockdowns, she effectively capitalized on the shift towards e-commerce sales and transitioned to a global Go-to-Market role.

This period also saw her become a mother of her second son, prompting a re-evaluation of her career aspirations and personal goals. Returning from maternity leave, she embarked on a new journey at Tecan, first focusing on service and consumables marketing and then transitioned to E-commerce Commercial Lead. In her current role, she is developing and executing e-commerce strategies to drive sales growth, increase customer engagement and optimize user experience.

She is a full-time working mother of two young boys. She and her full-time working husband are champions for equality, sharing household duties and responsibilities equally. She is actively involved in organizations like Women in Digital Switzerland and the newly launched Female Leaders in Life Science Lean In Circle (Zurich).

Digitalization is changing how labs work as same as we see it in our private lives and Michelle is working with her team and customers to make the most of it.

Beyond her professional life, she loves enjoying active time in the nature, especially in the mountains and close to the water.

This led to the opportunity to move to Switzerland in 2010 to join and eventually lead the product management team before transitioning to his current role.

Throughout his career, Hal has always been excited about digital change, spearheading initiatives such as the AI Exploration Forum, AR sales pilot, VR Training PoC, Introspect, and remote service pilots. Prior to playing with robots for work, Hal was the business manager at Northlight Theatre in Chicago. He holds a B.A. in Theatre & Television Arts and Music Performance from Valparaiso University.
