Swiss-German volunteers wanted for next-generation personality test

Personality testing

If you live in the Swiss-German part of Switzerland, you can play a part in the development of a novel personality test and receive a free evaluation on request. We ask only for feedback as to whether and how the result you receive applies.

The study:

The aim is to test a new type of personality test, which can be used either for self-assessment or for evaluating job candidates in the recruitment process. Due to its versatile dimensions, the test eclipses existing similar tests.

This new test is several times more precise than other tests of this kind and captures the cognitive and emotional abilities associated with a person’s cultural background. In this test version, only the emotional aspects are examined.

So far, around 20,000 people have already contributed to the development of the test. The client, Professor Xavier Roegiers (see below), now also needs some control runs in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and aims to achieve the broadest possible mirror image of Swiss society. The goal would be 200 to 400 participants in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

Further information on the questionnaire can be found on the website www.qcx.be  (it only exists in French and is still incomplete because the research work has not yet been completed).

Procedure:

  • – Kerstin will provide you the questionnaires.
  • – It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete the form.
  • – There are 103 intuitive questions – to answer intuitively.
  • – It is not possible to fill in the questionnaire online.
  • – To volunteer and for further information: Kerstin.Sonnekalb@gmx.ch

Data protection:

The only data requested from the participants are the following:

  • – Name or pseudonym (this only serves to provide personal feedback in a secure way).
  • – Job title
  • – Current field of activity
