AI know her: highlighting women in AI

Women are at the forefront of a new wave of artificial intelligence work and research. To highlight women’s work in this emerging tech, the impactIA foundation has partnered with Women in Digital Switzerland.

We want to speak to women working with AI in Switzerland, or the surrounding areas. The eventual goal is to co-author a white paper on “Growing the presence of Women in AI.” This is supported by the Equality Office of the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland.

AI is a massive field. How are you contributing?

Switzerland is on the forefront of this technological advancement. But artificial intelligence is already here.

When we think of AI, we think of self-driving cars, or computers winning games of Go. But there’s so much more than that.

We’re keeping the definition of ‘artificial intelligence’ wide open, because we want to hear from as many different women as possible.

  • Are you building robots? On an industrial scale – or with lego?
  • Or tweaking the algorithms inside Facebook advertising to target a killer marketing campaign?
  • Are you project-managing a machine-learning team? Or writing machine-learning code?

We want to highlight a range of stories of women in AI. And to do that, we need your help.

Register your interest using this form, and we will be in touch. Or, send it to a friend and tell her you think her work in AI should be spotlighted. That’s what #AIknowher is all about.
