‘Women shaped the digital age from the very beginning.

Ada Byron Countess of Lovelace (1815–1852), a mathematician, was a pioneer. In the mid- 19th century, she developed a program for Charles Babbage’s “Analytical Engine”, a fore- runner of the modern computer which was sadly never completed. Nevertheless, the spirit of this innovative and exceptional mind shall continue with the Ada Lovelace Satellite Switzerland.

‘The Ada Lovelace Festival started its success story in Berlin four years ago with the ambition to grow to a European movement. Last year, over 400 IT-practitioners participated, and it is time to further expand the unique spirit of the event. The first Ada Lovelace Satellite will do so in Switzerland. We are looking forward to the lively and colourful ICT community in Switzerland and promise you an inspiring mix of technical knowledge transfer, valuable networking opportunities and mentoring coaching programs.’
